Blood Tests and Laboratory Diagnostics

How Laboratory Testing Works

Between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm, you can visit our practice to have your blood drawn or submit samples for laboratory diagnostics, including STD testing, urine tests, and feces tests

Blood sampling is performed by our doctor’s assistants, who are trained for this procedure.

This service is provided in collaboration with the Reinier Haga Diagnostic Centre. Reinier Haga collects the samples, processes them, and sends the results to us.

Most results are available within one day. You can view your results in the online Patient Portal.

 

Important information about laboratory tests

For some blood tests, you need to fast. Your GP will tell you if this is necessary.

Fasting means that you do not eat or drink for 8 hours before the blood test. You may drink water.

You may take your medication as usual, unless your doctor gives you other instructions.

The cost of all laboratory tests is subject to the insurance deductible.
